Update (03/04/21)
The organising committee is pleased to announce that the III International Symposium on Carrot and Other Apiaceae will take place between the 2nd and 5th October 2023 in York, UK.
The event was due to take place between the 4th and 7th October 2021 in York, UK. However, due to the ongoing concerns surrounding Covid-19 eradication plans, the symposium was postponed.
“Although postponing an event is never pleasant, we are looking forward to hosting the III International Symposium on Carrot and Other Apiaceae in York in 2023. We hope that as the world recovers from our battle with Covid-19 the symposium will be THE event to look forward to.” – Coral Russell, British Growers Association
The event is being held on behalf of the International Society for Horticultural Science, the third event of its title. We are looking forward to welcoming our international colleagues to the UK in 2023.
“Many innovations and new knowledge are in progress on carrot and other Apiaceae crops which are so important for people’s food diversity and health. Our UK colleagues are preparing the most extraordinary event for the Carrot and other Apiaceae communities in response to extraordinary times. Academics, researchers, industry and extension specialists, we are all looking forward to meeting again in 2023 for an event to remember!” – Dr. Emmanuel Geoffriau, Chair of ISHS Working Group Carrot and other Apiaceae
We can confirm that the reorganised symposium will include attendance at the British Carrot Growers Association Demonstration Day.
Details of ticketing and abstract submission process and timings are available on the symposium website, which can be found at https://www.ishs.org/
So, save the date and we will be happy to welcome you in York from 2-5 October 2023!
